Castle Coussac-Bonneval

In the local village of Coussac-Bonneval, within walking distance (500 meter) of La-Bastide, is the castle called Chateaux de Bonneval. This castle is still in the private ownership of the historic Bonneval familly. The castle dates from the 14th to the 18th Centuries.

Visits are possible during March, April, May and October from 14.30 until 18.00
(closed on Mondays) and in July, August and September it is open every day from
14.30 untill 19.00 It is certainly worth a visit.

Castle Pompadour and the Famous Horse races

Within 15 minutes drive from Coussac-Bonneval is the historic town of Pompadour.

Pompadour has also a very beautiful castle which it is possible to visit. It also boasts a huge horse racing facility with events throughout the year, but particularly during July and August.

We go regularly ourselves and thoroughly enjoy it.
